Original Hand Painted
Watercolours
This full range of watercolours was
commissioned to depict costume exhibits of the Qing Dynasty,
which reigned from 1644 AD to1911 AD, currently held in various
Chinese museums. As such we have full historical details for
each garment including the significance of each colour, mythological
design as well as details of who they were worn by and for
what type of state occasion.
Each costume has been painstakingly translated
to watercolours by some of the most talented artists that
China can offer, who are most meticulous down to the smallest
detail.
All paintings are stamped, signed and dated
by the artist. We do not have any intention to mass produce
any of the images and will be limiting production of each
to preserve their value.
